| Monotype - Ink | 1993 | 30”H x 24”W | 23-¾”H x 17-½”W |
| One of Susan’s rare, experimental Monotypes. This is a piece that Susan undertook while studying with a master print maker in Taos, New Mexico in the early 1990s. The process involves painting with inks on a sheet of glass, essentially in reverse, manipulating the inks with various tools to create the detail and then transferring the work to the paper in a one-off process. In this piece Susan very sensitively portrays someone/herself elegantly passing into old age and beyond. Vibrant reds and deep magentas fill the background while simple movements of the inks create a very deep connection to the central figure. It has been re-framed, re-matted with acid-free materials and re-glazed w/conservation clear UV glass. Signed by Susan Seddon Boulet lower right. Undated. | |||
